Who am I?
My name is Carlos Garestia, and I'm a self-taught artist. I was born and raised in Reus, where creativity has been a constant in my life. For many years, I worked as a tattoo artist, a form of expression that allowed me to deeply connect with other people's stories. However, over a decade ago, my life took an unexpected turn. Social anxiety and other personal difficulties forced me to leave behind the job I loved so much.
However, the need to create never left me. It was then that I discovered macrawing , an ancient textile art that allowed me to return to what I love most: creating with my hands, channeling my emotions, and expressing my vision of the world. Every knot, every thread, is a manifestation of what I feel, what I experience, and how I transform my experiences into something tangible, full of color and texture.
